The Post-Operative Journey
Getting a hair transplant is a life-changing decision. Knowing what to expect during the recovery process helps you stay calm and care for your grafts correctly.
Days 1 - 3: Initial Healing
Mild swelling and redness around the forehead are normal. You must sleep with your head elevated at a 45-degree angle. Grafts are highly sensitive; do not touch or scrape them.
Days 10 - 14: The Scabs Shed
After daily washing with the recommended clinic shampoo and lotion, the scabs will soften and fall away. Your scalp will look cleaner, and you can resume light physical activities.
Weeks 3 - 6: The "Shock Loss" Phase
Do not panic! The newly transplanted hair shafts will fall out. This is a normal part of the cycle. The follicles remain healthy under the skin and are preparing to sprout new, strong hair.
Months 3 - 6: First Sprout
You will start seeing fine, thin hairs growing. By month 6, about 50-60% of the final density is achieved, and hair starts looking thicker.
Months 12 - 18: Full Results
Congratulations! Your hair has reached its full growth, density, and natural texture. You can now style, cut, and enjoy your permanent hair.
